I am pleased to report that after the sinking of my tug " Lady Wooes" a few weeks back, that it is now in a position to set sail once again. I had to replace the two speed controllers, V- tail mixer, receiver and dismantle the two motored in order to clean them up. They were quite badly corroded. The rudder servo did not seem to be affected by the water. This sinking turned out to be a very expensive episode.
I have now sealed the two holes where the anchor chains pass through. I launched the model bow first which put these openings below the water level. It filled up very fast indeed.

Paul.

Thanks for the pics. It is a nicely detailed model. Is the motor a write-off?

No, the motors were stripped down as shown on the photograph and carefully cleaned and then put back together. They were tried and tested on the water today and worked very well indeed.
